Frequently asked questions
Everything worth knowing about creating your portrait, your digital image and the canvas print - in one place.
How your portrait is made
Yes. The portrait is generated from the actual photo you upload, so your pet's own face, markings and colours are carried onto the portrait. And you see the result with your own eyes in the free preview before paying anything.
Any animal at all - dog, cat, rabbit, bird, reptile, whatever your companion is. And it makes no difference which animal appears on the style sample; that's only there to show the artistic style. We never reuse the sample animal: every portrait is created from scratch around the pet in the photo you upload, so the result is always built to match your own animal.
A clear, in-focus photo in natural daylight works best. You can upload up to 3 photos from different angles; the more we see, the more lifelike the result. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 25 MB each.
Of course. After you upload a photo we create 3 different preview versions completely free, for you to choose from. You only pay once you've found one you really love.
About 30-60 seconds. You upload a photo, pick a style, and your previews appear almost instantly - no waiting days for a proof to land in your inbox.
As many times as you like. Generate again, try a different photo, or switch to another style until you find the perfect one. You only ever pay for the portrait you want to receive without a watermark, in high resolution.
Yes - we have separate styles featuring more than one pet for you to choose from. Upload photos of each pet separately, and you'll get a single shared portrait of all of them, with every face coming out perfectly.
Your photos stay private. We keep your uploaded photo so you can always see in your account which photo each portrait was made from - but we never use it to train AI, and we never share it with anyone. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your digital image
Because the canvas print is a physical reproduction of the digital portrait, not a separate product on its own. What you're actually paying for is the creation of the portrait itself - generated uniquely from your pet's photo, in the style you picked. That image is the value; the canvas is just one way to bring it onto your wall. That's why the high-resolution file always comes with your order, whichever canvas size you choose - without it, there would be nothing to print.
No. The watermark is only on the preview. The file you buy is delivered fully clean - no watermark - in high resolution, ready to print.
As soon as your payment goes through, we email your high-resolution file to you - usually within 1-2 minutes. If you don't see it, check your spam folder for an email from Pawlazzo with your download link.
Your canvas print
Yes. Your portrait is printed on premium 370 g/m² artist canvas and stretched over a real pinewood frame, so it arrives ready to hang straight out of the box - no stretching, framing or assembly needed.
You can pick from five: 15×25 cm is a small, sweet desktop piece (and makes a great gift), 20×30 cm is lovely on a shelf or desk, 30×40 cm sits beautifully above a nightstand or in a hallway, 40×60 cm is a real statement piece above a sofa or bed, and 60×90 cm is a breathtaking, wall-commanding centerpiece for the living room.
You approve your chosen portrait on screen first, and we print exactly what you approved. Screens are backlit, so a print can look a touch softer - but the colours are reproduced to stay true to life.
There are two parts to it. Because every canvas is made individually, production usually takes 3-5 working days — about a week — and delivery then adds another 1-2 working days. During busier periods production can take a little longer, but we always aim to get your portrait to you as soon as we possibly can.
Shipping is completely free, with every delivery method available to you. The canvas price already includes everything, so there's no separate shipping fee at checkout.
It won't fade easily - it's printed with eco-solvent inks on coated canvas that's scratch- and moisture-resistant, and still looks great even ten years from now under normal indoor light.
Just wipe it gently with a lightly damp sponge or a soft cloth.
